Revealing our latest Laguna Beach Kitchen Remodel

APlus’ latest kitchen remodel in Laguna Beach, California showcases how choosing the right materials and color palette can make all the difference in achieving a cohesive and stylish look. By combining natural wood cabinets paired with black and brass accents and stunning marble countertops pulled up to the backsplash, we were able to help our clients achieve a custom modern, transitional kitchen. Here’s how we successfully executed the design of this Orange County remodel:

Pairing the Charm of Natural Wood Cabinets with Black & Brass Accents: This pairing blends the warmth of natural materials with the modernity of sleek black finishes, creating a kitchen that is both inviting and sophisticated. Natural wood cabinets bring an organic, earthy feel to any kitchen. The grain patterns and warm tones add depth and character. Integrating black accents introduces a modern edge and contrasts beautifully with the warmth of natural wood. One unique way we incorporated black in this kitchen is the custom steel-framed cabinet doors. The addition of brass accents brings a touch of timeless elegance.

Mixing Metals: Mixing metals can create a contemporary and stylish appearance and help balance the overall look, preventing the dominance of one metal. When mixing metals, it’s important to consider balance and coordination. Brass brings a touch of classic elegance, while black adds a modern, sophisticated edge. Together, they create a balanced and timeless look. In this kitchen, we mixed black custom steel-framed cabinets, plumbing fixtures and hardware with brass lighting and hardware.

Marble Countertops and backsplash: Marble countertops are a popular choice due to their aesthetic appeal, unique characteristics, and functional benefits. The unique patterns exude timeless, classic beauty and add an element of luxury and sophistication to the space. In this remodel, we also pulled the marble up to the backsplash to create a stunning focal point above the range.

Coffee and Beverage Bar: We incorporated a bar and coffee station into the design of this kitchen as a central location for serving drinks. This enhanced the overall aesthetic of the kitchen, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication and provided dedicated storage for beverages and coffee supplies to keep the kitchen organized and clutter-free. Incorporating built-in coffee machines, wine coolers, and other specialized equipment enhanced the convenience and functionality and added a sense of daily luxury.

High-End Appliances: Our clients opted for Sub-Zero refrigeration, including a panel-ready, built-in refrigerator as well as both an under-counter and a column wine refrigerator for the bar area. We installed a Wolf range and drop-down drawer microwave built into the island. The addition of the built-in Miele coffee maker added a combination of luxury, convenience, and functionality.
