Ilene and her husband have lived in their home for about 15 years and wanted a kitchen design that would reflect their lifestyle, along with the use of updated materials and finishes. Previously their kitchen included outdated tile flooring, a small tile-topped island, and dark wood cabinetry. Coverings obstructed the natural light coming in from the many windows and doors already present in the kitchen, and a small table was used for dining alongside the main island. The residents of this Fountain Valley home opted to rely on APlus after receiving numerous referrals from friends and coworkers.
Their new design maximizes the natural light their kitchen receives, and also includes two built-in islands. The central island includes dark wood cabinetry, paired with a white granite countertop. The expansive top provides space for not only dining but also food preparation and entertaining. By the back window, there’s a custom built-in dining area/island, as well, which mimics the materials and design of the larger island.
This kitchen now features luxury stainless steel appliances, custom white cabinetry, and a mosaic glass tile backsplash. There’s ample storage, much of which is hidden behind the white cabinets. Pull-out drawers make this kitchen functional, yet storage remains out of view. Wide plank rustic wood flooring infuses a bit of traditional style while oversized industrial pendant lights ensure modernity as well. The kitchen also includes a custom desk area and a farmhouse sink. for more photos of this beautiful kitchen remodel you can
